The story behind my eyebrows

I’ve always had a huge fetish about my eyebrows. Having my eyebrows drawn in a very feminine shape has been always my desire. However, as a transgender person, shaving and drawing your eyebrows is not an easy decision to make, specially when you are not out of the closet. Still, I grew the balls to shave them a couple of times between 2001 and 2003 without receiving many comments. As time passed, I went further into my transition and became more mature. I left behind the Gothic look I had in 2003 to become a more stylish girl. Still, I always kept the desire to have painted eyebrows. It was January 2007 when I decided to shave my eyebrows again. I was so happy about it, and had a lot of fun painting my eyebrows in different shapes. Still, it was kind of annoying to shave them every other day. So, at the end of January when I started laser hair removal, I made a huge decision: I decided to permanently remove my eyebrows with the laser as well. It wasn’t difficult to convince the laser technician to have it done, and it only took five sessions to have my eyebrows gone forever. Call it crazy or call it fetishism, it is a decision I’ll never regret. I really love it! It was really painful, but it was worth it. One problem about not having eyebrows is that you have to paint them everyday. Also, with the hot weather of Monterrey, it was really difficult to keep decent looking eyebrows all day long. Then, the second huge decision came: to have them tattooed. Then, a month ago, I had my eyebrows tattooed. It was a relief to have them tattooed, as now I don’t have to spend time in front of the mirror drawing them everyday for work and, if I want to change the shape of my eyebrows for an special occasion, I can cover them with make up and draw over them. I haven’t heard of anybody who has removed his/her eyebrows permanently. It may sound crazy, but I’m loving the experience and I love the look I’ve achieved. Now, I’m planning on having some more permanent make up done, specifically in the eyes. However, I still have to grow the balls to do it… maybe soon.
