Parque Fundidora – Botero’s exposition

On Sunday, my wife and I went to the Fundidora Park to see Bote
ro’s exposition. Monterrey is the only Latin American city hosting the «Abu Ghraib» exposition, so we couldn’t miss the opportunity of seeing it, not only because Botero is one of the greatest contemporary artists, but also because of the message of this masterwork. The exposition is composed by many large oil paintings and drawings depicting the horrors perpetrated by Americans at Iraq’s infamous Abu Ghraib prison. I’m actually very proud of my city for hosting this exposition. I think we should not be quiet on pointing out the horrors that the Americans are perpetrating in Irak. Botero’s exposition is really breathtaking: it is full of rage and courage. If you have a chance to see it, please do so. More information about Abu Ghraib exposition can be found here. And well, I hope you enjoy the pictures I took this day. Cheers!
