Hace doce días tuve mi operación de aumento de busto. Por esa razón, tomé un par de semanas a cuenta de vacaciones para recuperarme en casa. Todo afortunadamente va bien y me siento super. Realmente no creo tener problemas en volver a la oficina el próximo Lunes. De hecho, creo que subestimé mi capacidad de recuperación y haberme tomado dos semanas pudo haber sido un tanto excesivo. Sin embargo, he tratado de mantenerme productiva y a la vez aprovechar para entretenerme un poco y descansar. Así pues, a parte del trabajo que me traje a casa, esto es algo de lo que estuve haciendo en estas dos semanas:
- He estado leyendo «La Rebelión del Atlas» de Ayn Rand, y ya casi termino el libro.
- He estado viendo la programación del HDNet, especialmente «The Ultimate Trailer Show» y los conciertos. Me enamoré de un concierto de Willie Nelson, Wynton Marsalis y Norah Jones cantando la musica de Ray Charles.
- También he estado viendo mucho las noticias, lo cual no es necesariamente algo bueno en vista de que últimamente nuestros políticos nos han bombardeado con puras malas noticias.
- He estado escuchando música. En especial me he deleitado con los últimos discos de Muse, Black Eyed Peas, Pearl Jam, Placebo, Lady Gaga y Gustavo Cerati.
- He sido una linda ama de casa: he lavado trastes e incluso he cocinado para mi amada.
- He descansado, tomado siestas y en general disfrutado de la casa para mi solita mientras mi mujer esta trabajando.
- He estado preparando el disfraz que usaré en la fiesta que está organizando una amiga por su cumpleaños y por Halloween.
Para mañana tengo planeado consentirme y pasar la mañana en el salón de belleza, mientras que el Sábado tenemos una cena en casa con amigos. Espero usar alguno de estos eventos como pretexto para tomar fotos y presumirles mi nuevo look… asi que ¡manténgase al tanto!
Twelve days ago I underwent breast augmentation surgery. For that reason, I took a couple of weeks off from work in order to recover at home. Everything is going great and I’m feeling super. I think I won’t have any problems to go back to work on Monday. In fact, I think I underestimated my capacity to recover and two weeks off work turned out to be a little bit excessive. However, I’ve been trying to stay productive while having also some fun and rest. Besides the work from office I took home, these are some of the highlights of the last two weeks:
- I’ve been reading «Atlas Shrugged», by Ayn Rand, and I’m about to finish it.
- I’ve been watching the HDNet original programming, specially «The Ultimate Trailer Show» and the concerts. I loved a concert by Willie Nelson, Wynton Marsalis, and Norah Jones in which they song the music of Ray Charles.
- I’ve been also watching too much news, which I’m not sure it’s been a good thing given that our politicians in Mexico only give us bad news.
- I’ve been listening music. I’ve really enjoyed the latest albums of Muse, Black Eyed Peas, Pearl Jam, Placebo, Lady Gaga, and Gustavo Cerati.
- I’ve been a good house wife: I’ve been washing dishes and cooking for my beloved one.
- I’ve been resting, taking naps, and enjoying having the house all for me while my wife is at work.
- I’ve been planning the costume I’ll be wearing for a costume party one of our friends is organizing to celebrate her birthday as well as Halloween.
Tomorrow I’m planning to spoil myself by spending the morning at the beauty parlor, while on Saturday my wife and I will be having dinner with friends at our place. I hope to use any of those occations as an excuse to take some pictures and show you off my new look… so, stay tuned!
